The IMTS 2026 Emerging Technology Center (ETC) demonstration exemplifies how raw manufacturing data can be transformed into intuitive understanding in a 3D environment using a digital shadow. However, tools and methods for constructing digital shadows and digital twins are not broadly available nor well known. This webinar conveys how the IMTS 2026 ETC digital shadow demonstration was constructed, what open tools were used to construct it and are being publicly release by AMT and the MTConnect Institute, and how participants can use those tools and methods to construct digital shadows of their own facilities using them. In addition, the webinar will provide a glimpse into the future direction of digital shadow, digital twin, simulation, and testbed development at AMT.
